Artist Statement

In my work, I seek to capture the raw and unfiltered essence of life as a queer person with Latin American heritage. The punk ethos of rebellion and individuality resonates strongly with me, driving me to create art that challenges societal norms and celebrates the mess that is figuring out the self. Nature, in its endless complexity and beauty, serves as both a metaphor and a direct subject in my pieces, symbolizing growth, resilience, and transformation.

Each piece I create is a narrative, a fragment of a larger story that speaks to the human experience. I use humor and playfulness as a tool to engage my audience, inviting them to reflect on serious themes through a more accessible and relatable lens. My goal is to foster a sense of connection and understanding, encouraging viewers to see the world and themselves from a different perspective.
